Promising debut from Lara Antipova and news on Moulton stars
JUNE saw our first two-year-old runner of the year when Lara Antipova finished second on debut at Wetherby. She finished with a wet sail under Danny Tudhope, just failing to reel in Cotai Belle by half a length. She’s a big filly who needs spaces between her runs but we look forward to seeing her back on the track in July.
We also enjoyed a day at Royal Ascot with God Of War – unfortunately he raced too keenly in the Britannia and failed to see it out but he remains and exciting prospect and hopefully he’ll be back on track at the July Meeting next week. Syndicate members still had a fantastic day with a picnic in the car park and lots of champagne to commiserate!
Frustratingly, our star Invictus Gold missed the cut for the Wokingham at Royal Ascot and has been re-routed to the £100k handicap at the July Meeting. With a rating of 104, he’ll have a big weight but he’s a talented horse who will hopefully be contesting Stakes races soon.
Other upcoming runners include Showyoutheropes who tackles 1m2f at Yarmouth on Thursday and Quantom Power who could make his debut in a 6f novice auction at Newbury on 10 July.
