God Of War on top at Sandown

THE good run continued for Moulton Racing when God Of War landed the 7f  handicap at Sandown on Saturday.

Ridden by David Egan, God of War travelled well throughout before showing a game attitude to repel the runner-up by half a length.

The winning trainer Tom Clover said: “We have always thought God Of War is a lovely horse but things haven’t really gone his way since he was just touched off at the Chester May Meeting. He deserved this and it’s great to get him back on track. He handled the soft ground well so hopefully he’ll have a good autumn.”

God of War’s win came on the back of a promising second by Quantum Power at Ripon on Monday.
