Invictus Gold lands big HQ pot on 2000 Guineas Day

INVICTUS Gold provided the Moulton Racing team with a day to remember when taking the 50k TrustaTrader Handicap on 2000 Guineas Day at Newmarket.

Trained by Tom Clover, the son of Invincible Spirit had come forward for his recent third over course and distance and showed his rivals a clean pair of heels under Neil Calllan.

Winning this off a mark of 93, he will hopefully be up to making his mark in Stakes company.

Mike said: “We had been looking forward to running Invictus Gold on fast ground and he looked to really enjoy it. He’s a progressive sprinter who can hopefully go on from here and give us some big days.”

Looking into May, it is exciting times for members of Moulton Racing with God Of War and Harvard Sound due to hit the racetrack in the next couple of weeks. Our two-year-olds; Quantom Power and Lara Antipova are also starting fast work and will hopefully make their debuts in around a month.
